Closing for business
Hi, I'm going to take my blog off of public. I need emails to do this, apparently... so if you ladies could give me yours (as a comment? otherwise email... apparently my email isn't working, the bitch! I can receive but not send.) anyway, I'm going private. so that's that.

housing/blog
so, I got rid of those damn adsense spots, it was saying something about "100% free sexy housewife blogs"... it was past time.
Have received one response about housing, with poor grammar... It's in a good area of town but I'm unsure about it. Have received confirmation from myself after some thought that moving out is the right thing to do, but I don't want to get stuck in a situation with someone who I will hate. If I want to get my shit together, I'm going to have to give myself some space to do it.
Miss everyone...

Housing
Replied to three housing/roomate ads on Craig's list... and so it begins. And hopefully, so the soul-sucking ends.
A guy flirted with me Friday
at the jail. I had to go down there for work with a woman who does homeless outreach, and to make a long story short, it was NOT an inmate but a public defender aka young attorney who ended up giving me his business card, along with some advice regarding my client. Now, pretty much the only thing I like about lawyers is that they're smart, but public defenders are def. a cut above. It gets weirder, because I keep running into this guy all over town! I first met him a couple months back when I was buying shoes. I walked up to him and asked "do you have these in yellow?" seeing as it was night time and he was dressed in a suit, putting away shoes. I was pretty embarrassed, but we joked for a bit and of course it was awkward city, particularly when he asked what I thought about his loafers. I mean, they had tassels. come on. I also surmised that he is just a flirty, relatively extroverted guy, based on his behavior with other women in the store.
Then I saw him at the craft store with a chick. It looked like they were together. I don't recall if they were holding hands or not, but she was really pretty. I have a feeling he is engaged to this chick and maybe moved here to be with her. It seems like a strange place to go right out of law school.
Anyway, number three was at the jail. I saw him leave and we had a mutual smile/recognition moment. and It took me a second to realize "that's the shoe guy!" We were finishing up our business with the annoying warden and I turned around and he'd come back to say hi. He said "I haven't randomly run into anyone three times since I moved here... I'm starting to think you're following me." And I was like "Well, yeah, you know... Stalking is actually my second job." And I went on to blabber something about "I know I keep looking at you weird but it's not registering, like 'I know this person, but, I don't know this person..." it's confusing. So then he said "well, here, this way the next time we run into eachother, you'll know who I am." and gave me his card. And Teri jumped all over that shit and was like "Meeeredith, I think he was flirting with you..." and I was of course like "yeah, well... I think he has a girlfriend..." to which she replied "well, maybe they're not that serious, or maybe he's looking for someone else..." so I was of course totally twitterpated for a while.
My fun was most certainly reduced upon learning that my MOTHER knows him. He just joined choir, apparently. She said he is friends with some other silly lawyers at her rich-whisk-E-Palian church, and is probably much older than he looks. He looks very young though, 25 maybe. I made her promise not to talk to him or anyone else about it.
I mean, he would know my mom. He would. he WOULD. Anyway she said he's probably over thirty, which is pretty much over my cutoff. that's a pretty big age difference. And like I said, I think he is engaged but just a flirt. Anyway, it's a good story.

Kenan Thompson is 30 years old
warning: pretty damn whiny post follows. those of you who want to avoid, avoid.
the title pretty much tells it all. We're getting older, fast. And the thought of being thirty, soon, sickens me. I mean, that means I'm going to be dead soon, and I don't even barely have my shit together! Hell I would have to think about it a long time to be able to say that I even enjoy life right now. Clearly my standards are too high.
I had the world's most shit-tacular day and I don't even want to talk about what actually happened. Let's just say I'm fucking myself by being a passive little bitch who is completely and totally insecure. I don't think I'm being a bitch per say but more like really annoying to everyone around me. I feel like I should be getting more secure but really my paranoia just seems to increase. I don't know or seem to forget what seem like basic functional things that should be clear. Nothing earth-shattering, it just makes me sound like an idiot when I know I'm not. I don't know why I even care what other people think. I guess I like them.
Anyway, my conclusion today was that you never get over something (like, in this example, fucking yourself [figuratively speaking of course]) unless you DO it, so I'll just keep trucking until this phase passes. I mean, I'm annoying MYSELF with my constant whining. I guess that's good in a way. Maybe I'll stop .
Also, living with mom is killing my self-esteem and feeding my work issues which in turn feed
