Back from Vacation

It was a nice time! and I have today to do extra, other things like laundry before I go back to work and do tons of paperwork.
The beach was great, and I was glad to see my family. The grandparents in PA are still completely nuts, and the family reunion was interesting. There had to be twenty kinds of home-made pie there. It was awesome. I ate a ton of delicious food and have probably gained some good weight. You can tell I'm really broken up about it.
Getting stressed out about moving, I have a room to rent from someone I met through craig's list. I'm going to move halfway through this month. I have a lot to do and very little motivation for now. There are some good summer activities coming up though, like fairs and other weekend music activities. It's also good weather for camping, and I need to test out my tent.
Anyway, this is shorter than I intended but a quick update is better than none.

so I googled my future roomate (hopefully), and came up with some interesting things. Long and short is she is more liberal than I possibly could have imagined... It's not often that someone kills fewer bugs than I, or has more socialist tendencies. Do you all remember that blond guy from college, the free Tibet guy? Steve, was it? Steve "we need more blood," "I chained myself to the rotunda for the Chinese Ambassador" Steve?
yeah. That's about what we're talking here. But less personally/hygienically weird.
And while I am poking fun, On some primal level I feel that's pretty cool. As long as my property is not usurped for the communist cause, or my meat is 'donated' to the local feral cats, and I'm not personally. implicated in any kind of illegal activity. I'll hang out at the weekly war protest and such, that's a good time for me. i considered joining the sit-in for contract employee wages. Revolution is important... nay, vital. (did I just spontaneously say 'nay'?) I mean, I would use that TJ quote here, but I forget it.

Also, regarding comments on last post, I would be glad to do a long weekend or something at an appropriate musical or other venue. I am taking a ton of vacation coming up the week before and week of July 4th... but after that I'm free, I just can't take like a whole week off or anything since I'll be running low on PTO. Stupid intestinal disease from two months ago... Destroy my body if you will but don't eat up my PTO!!!

My own 'needs'

haha, how's that for innuendo and out the other?
anyway, HOUSING is the subject today, and I found a room/-ate that I really like. She is from California and in Nursing school, working as an EMT. Likes wine and cats, and local/folk music. Also has no friends except in NOVA. Super liberal Obama-lover; wants to invite them to stay at her house when they campaign. May be a neat freak; unconfirmed. Now I just need to stop wussing out and commit. I had a nightmare that she was really part of a cult that planned on sucking me in and murdering me. HAHA I AM COMPLETELY AT PEACE WITH THE WORLD. Anyway, I need to go over my finances again and make sure I can afford it... but I think it's going to happen. Probably at the beginning of next month, or a little after if it takes me longer. I've got so much crap to clean up here!!! I didn't realize how much Ive accumulated. This weekend I worked on clothes and got rid of a bunch of things that don't fit or I don't need. I also noticed I have lost (some) weight! And I haven't even been eating well. But that doesn't take away from my pleasant surprise.
Also considering a UVa club service project here as a social activity... we'll see how that goes. I think you all know the idea of it scares the piss out of me.
Also, all caught up at work. And we got out early today because the power went off!!! how awesome is that?!? Now I can make dental and optical appointments, and do laundry...
Really I probably shouldn't be so excited about it. But that also means I had time to write this post, so bonus for ye who reads this!

housing/blog

so, I got rid of those damn adsense spots, it was saying something about "100% free sexy housewife blogs"... it was past time.
Have received one response about housing, with poor grammar... It's in a good area of town but I'm unsure about it. Have received confirmation from myself after some thought that moving out is the right thing to do, but I don't want to get stuck in a situation with someone who I will hate. If I want to get my shit together, I'm going to have to give myself some space to do it.
